Myself and the Fellas with the Wine Bottle
For this wine tasting report, I drank Arrow Creek Pinot Grigio. This wine contains Pinot Grigio grapes and is from California in the United States. This wine is a 2019 vintage and costs $4.80 at Kroger. I was unable to find a review for this exact vintage, but Wine Enthusiast reviewed the 2010 vintage as "A bit heavy for Pinot Grigio, with soft, fruit juice flavors of oranges, peaches and mangoes." From page 654 in the Wine Folly textbook Pinot Grigios generally have notes of white peach, lemon zest, and cantalope. My personal review of this wine is rather negative. Overall, I am not really a fan of Pinot Grigio as I find the taste to be boring and overly acidic and I generally don't like white wines as much. I found this Pinot Grigio to be worse than some other Pinot Grigios that I have had. The flavor was very sharp and acidic and overall not enjoyable to drink. I drank this wine without food and was able to pick up on the peach notes, but not much else.
