Myself and the Fella with the Wine Bottle
For this wine tasting report, I drank F Stephen Millier Merlot. This wine contains Merlot grapes and is from Lodi in California. This wine is a 2020 vintage and costs $13 on nakedwines.com. nakedwines.com reviewed this wine as"Dark cherry flavors and a lush, velvety texture abound in Stephen’s Lodi Merlot. This juicy red is a crowd-favorite among Angels, with an average 91% rating over 7 vintages." From page 1699 in the Wine Folly textbook merlots generally have notes of cherry, vanilla, cedar, pencil lead, and toasted nutmeg. My personal review of this wine is rather positive. I was able to pick up on the cherry notes which I really enjoyed. I also found the wine to be very smooth which I was a big fan of. Overall, I enjoyed the fact that this red was less loud than some others I have tried. In conclusion, this is one of the best reds that I have tried and I would drink it again.
